Richard Klapper asked me to completely transform his board beautifully shaped by Joe Bark. He gave me free rein artistically. An Artist’s dream! The project evolved from ocean life to dragons and finally I decided on Radiolarians! What is a Radiolarian, you might ask? They are oceanic microorganisms with exquisite skeletons made from silica. I used plates drawn by Ernst Haeckel in the late 1800s as templates for my interpretations of these creatures. I hope you enjoy checking them out!
